A Taste of Family Outing…

well, if you’re looking for download links of Family Outing, then you came to the wrong blog…but if you are an avid fan of Family Outing, then maybe you’ll know what i’m gonna say…

as i told you a few posts before, my friend, Ardhito, went to South Korea for a holiday trip (oh, how i envy him, hahaha)…and a few weeks after that i decided to sleep over at his place…after some time, we decided to eat because we’re hungry…but then we looked out of the window and realized that we couldn’t go, because it was raining…at first we were planning to call 14045 (McDonald’s Delivery Service, ada yang bisa saya banting? eh, bantu)…but then my friend said that it would be better to eat some hot and spicy soup…and he opened his cabinet, and throw out some instant noodles…but not some ordinary instant noodles, it was this kind of instant noodles:

he said that he bought those in South Korea, but apparently only her mother and him who liked it…so he brought many of the ramyeon to Bandung…at the very first sight of the ramyeon, i felt like i was in Family Outing shooting set, with Yoo Jaesuk and Lee Hyori beside me, and we were gonna do games in the middle of the rain, on a field, with Sooyoung and me as the guests, and she’ll be in my team, and we’re gonna hold hands, and…err, sorry, my imaginations went too far…but really, as soon as i saw the ramyeon packages i jumped happily like Daesung when he saw Yoona in Family Outing (see Ep.36-37)…

then we decided to leave the 14045 option and went to the kitchen to make the ramyeon…when i opened the ramyeon package, the first thing that caught my eye was the round shape of the noodle…the second (and the one that caught bigger attention) was the seasoning and dried vegetables packets…

if you look at it, the seasoning packet (the silvery one on the right) is kinda similar to the one Yoon Jongshin used in order to “save” the Family’s cooking…so i began to wonder how tasty the soup is to make Yoon Jongshin (almost always) resort to this when he thought that the cooking’s taste wasn’t good…so we then boiled water in a cooking pot, then put the noodles in…and after a while, just like what you usually do with instant noodles, put the seasoning and the dried vegetables in…just a few seconds after that i realized why FO members love this thing, the smell was just great, better than the usual instant noodles in Indonesia…even a friend of my friend came out of his room and wondered what kind of noodles we were cooking…

after we were sure it was cooked, we grabbed some bowls…but my friend decided to eat the noodles straight from the cooking pot…a good idea, since we would be conserving water and the delicious aura was even more emitted…and it made things more Family Outing-ish…i however chose to use bowl and took out noodles from the pot again and again…

the taste? WONDERFUL!!! being half-Manadonese i always love spicy foods, and this ramyeon was just perfect…just look at the soup color, and you’re out of your mind (or possibly color blind) not to think the soup is spicy…the taste itself outranked any local instant noodles…and after gulping down the last drop of the soup, i approve Yoon Jongshin acts of putting in ramyeon seasoning to “save” the ruined taste of food…heck, i even acknowledge him (as Yoo Jaesuk said) the “Gourmet Master” of Family Outing…no wonder FO subber is using Ramen Soup as its name…

btw, if you’re reading this in the midnight…you’re unlucky, because i think you would be hungry by now…well, at least i do…now, where did i put my money, gonna buy some noodles with it…

KARA’s Lupin MV Released! (Review + Download)

KARA

KARA is back with their new MV…the title “Lupin” reminds us of a fictional thief portrayed in the Lupin III series or maybe even the original Arsène Lupin in the novel…and they even made the mysterious thief image stronger with their teaser pics…and of course, YouTube in all it’s sharing attitude serves as an easy, light source for the MV…

since i’m also a fan of KARA, i also waited for this MV…and just like what i did with SNSD’s “Oh!”, i didn’t listen to the .mp3 before i watch the MV…so when i watch the MV yesterday, it was my first time hearing the song…and i’m about to review it…

REVIEW!!
the concept is good…their costumes fit well to the image they’ve been portraying in their teaser pics, the white outfit near the end of the song gives a good contrast (just like the “clones” in the end of SNSD’s “Oh!” MV)…the background somehow reminds me of Morning Musume’s Naichau Kamo PV…i like the lighting effect from the lights in the back, forming a “line” that looks like it’s in front of the girls…the “castle’s inside” set (the walls make me think of a castle), is also good, giving of the feeling that they’re infiltrating a castle to look for treasure…and the sets continues to where they are on a pillar and the supposed-to-be moon, which make them look like they’re escaping to the sky after their thievery…the star-like lighting in the pillar and moon sets makes this image stronger to me…the dance is simpler than Wanna or Mister, but it seems more powerful, gotta see the performance to make it sure…there are two signature moves, the shoulder move (time 00:27) and the static-running move (time 00:49)…like one of my friend said, the static-running move kinda reminds me of 2PM’s Heartbeat running move with the slow motion…the girls are amazing, Seungyon is cute with her short hair cut, Jiyoung looks more mature with the outfits and the song’s attitude, Gyuri’s still as elegant as alwasy, Nicole is so sexy flaunting her back like that, and Hara is smoking hot through out the MV…being a Goo Hara fan, i’m blown away by her sexiness in this MV, her sharp hip moves and oh-so-seductive expressions (check around time 01:56) are awesome…the song lyrics itself, IMO, tells about achieving something we want, with continuous words of encouragement…a good match to Nicole’s rap in the beginning, inviting us to grab our 2010 resolution(s)…also reminding the girls to do their best in 2010, since they got quite heavy competition with SNSD’s “Oh!” and T-ara’s “I Go Crazy Because of You”…

though i’m a bigger SoNE than KARAholic, i also support these girls…so, best of luck girls… ^_^

Momusu’s Michishige Received Hate Comments…

as i tweeted my way thru the twitterverse, i came across a retweet by one of my friends…the tweet was posted like this: “netizens attack Morning Musume’s Sayumi Michishige“…as an old school fan of Morning Musume, i immediately checked on the link provided (here’s the link: http://bit.ly/bOdgZQ , it’s in LiveJournal’s aramatheydidnt group)…

after reading the comments…i was enraged…i mean, i’m not even her fan (as she is the exact opposite of Mikitty, whom i adore so much), but c’mon guys, she never deserved this…what did she do anyway? yeah, i know she acts all princess-ish and cutesy, but it’s her character…it’s something Momusu needs, she is the replacement for Ishikawa Rika‘s character…yes, she got some facial skin problem (acnes), but don’t we all have that, she IS an idol, but she IS a HUMAN…furthermore, the comments were put in her blog, and AFAIK, she just opened it…now wouldn’t that be some hard frontal stab to the heart? can’t the netizen put themselves in her position with that kind of comments…

i still dunno what these netizens were thinking when they posted their comments…and really, i doubt if there’s any netizen who got prettier face than Michishige, but even if there is, it still can’t be the justification for those comments…so hate-comment-netizen, you may take your effing head and shove it up your ass…

14.02.2010 MBC Star Dance Battle Review…

well…as you may know (if you’re a K-Pop fan), MBC broadcasted another Star Dance Battle a couple of days ago…this first Star Dance Battle in 2010 featured 2PM, Rainbow, MBLAQ, BEAST, T-ara, After School, gagmen group (i only know Kim Jongmin), gagwomen group (i only know Yoo Chaeyoung), Shin Bongsun, Kim Shinyoung, Super Junior, and of course our lovely SNSD…it also featured some more guests as featuring performer…

as this post’s title said, this post will be about my review of the show…especially the battle rounds, since i’m a dance enthusiast…so the review below will be broken by each segments of the show…i’ll also give verdicts based on my own thought, with 100 as maximum score, along with what i think should be the outcome of the votes…

Introduction
well, as it suggested, this segment was all about introducing the guests…and the prizes for the winner…Teukigayo (my nickname for the trio: Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, and Shindong) took over MC role to explain the prizes…and Shindong, tho reprimanded by Leeteuk and Eunhyuk in the end, casually took an apple and bit it, only to make the guests laugh after commenting how tasty the apple was…i don’t know what the prize in the jar-like container was, but Hyoyeon and Yoona seemed to be crazy over it…then came the first prize, a meat set (kalbi?) which i think made the some of the guests drooled (think of Kim Shinyoung)…

Round 1: MBLAQ vs Rainbow (ft. Jung Joori)

MBLAQ started the dance battle with Michael Jackson’s “2000 Watts”…classic MJ dance mixed with some popping, and continued to some whip dance that kinda looked martial-art-influenced…the boys then ripped their dark tees to reveal colorful tees inside…a woman (whom i don’t know, the MC?) came from behind the backscreen…and they continued with KARA’s “Mister”…MBLAQ did quite good, but their guest didn’t…

Rainbow only did one song: Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”…i think they did the same choreography like the original one…and tho they’re not as voluptuous as Beyonce, their sexiness weren’t something to look down…the surprise came at around 00:07:45…the backscreen opened like before, and from it, came the mighty Jung Joori…but she actually danced very well to the choreography, tho of course not forgetting to add some gag with the dance as well…
Verdict: MBLAQ 70 vs Rainbow 80
Vote Result: 40-60

Freestyle Round
a BEAST member teased the audience, acting like he’s going to throw his hat to the crowd…two of the gagmen was actually not bad at dancing, doing a freeze and a handstand…when Uee came, she was unfortunately crowded by the gagmen, so close that i think she’s actually afraid, hahaha…T-ara, 2PM, and some other guests only did funny dance, with Hyomin leading T-ara to do it…Gahee then entertained guys by revealing her sexy abs and doing sexy wave (VERY HOT for a 29 year old)…a Rainbow member then also did sexy dance…after her, SNSD took the stage, Sooyoung really took my attention when she raised her jacket to reveal her midriff, the accidental shoulder revealing just added to her sexiness…in Super Junior’s turn, only Donghae got down to the dance, doing a decent windmill…

Round 2: T-ara vs BEAST

T-ara did DISCO, unfortunately i don’t now the singer of this song, tho i know the song is featuring Big Bang’s TOP…and one T-ara member did act as TOP…i don’t know much about this song, but i’d guess T-ara doing the same choreography as the original one…

BEAST performed to Omarion’s “Ice Box”…in their routine, one of ’em approached Jung Joori (or maybe SNSD, but then obstructed by Jung Joori)…their second song was “Hey, Baby” by Omarion feat. Bow Wow…i like their hiphop routine, particularly their wave moves at around 00:21:41…
Verdict: T-ara 55 vs BEAST 85
Vote Result: 30-70

Round 3: Gagwomen Trio vs Gagmen Trio

the Gagmen started things with T-ara’s “Bo Peep Bo Peep”, wearing similar outfit to the original performance, not forgetting the the paw mittens…their dance was, well, funny with a hint of nausea…i dunno ’bout you guys, but for a boy like me, men in skirt dancing their butt is far from pleasing…i even gave up watching after the first chorus, hahaha…

the Gagwomen then spiced things up with 2PM’s “Heartbeat”…the funny part was when they used props like defibrillator…when the song was supposed to end with flat heartbeat sound, it didn’t, so the gagwomen used rubber hammer to pound one of them so that the beat “stop”…they also forced some 2PM members to help them doing the pyramid move…
Verdict: Gagwomen 80 vs Gagmen 70
Vote Result: 55-45

Round 4: After School vs SNSD

After School was the first to go with “Lip Gloss” by Lil Mama…they’re doing chair-and-desk action which made me imagining them as my sexy high school girlfriends…i like it when they did the hand-chin moves on the desk…then they did Chris Brown’s “Wall to Wall”…power dance all the way, with of course Gahee showing off her luxurious mid-riff (yeah, i got a thing for girls with abs like Gahee)…they also gave a little comedy with Bekah…

SNSD performed to “What It Is” by Sophia Fresh…as i said in my previous post, only Hyoyeon-Sooyoung-Yoona-Seohyun who’re performing…i actually like their routine in here, a new change IMO, since their choreography consisted more of popping, more hiphop than the previous ones…i like the head-wave at around 00:36:59…and Yoona was just amazing around 00:37:17…too bad Seohyun did less action compared to other members…
Verdict: After School 85 vs SNSD 80
Vote Result: 55-45

Round 5: Kim Shinyoung vs Shin Bongsun

these round was hilarious…Kim Shinyoung, creative as always, performed to G-Dragon’s “Heartbreaker”…she even drew small burger in the corner of her eye…the lyrics was of course changed so that it connected with Shinyoung’s favorite thing: FOOD…i think instead of Heartbreaker, she said empty stomach breaker, or something like that…and again, just like the previous Star Dance Battle she’s in, she took the choreography seriously…

on the other hand, Shin Bongsun also brought the house down by doing Hyuna’s “Change”…even the start was funny, with BEAST(?) members failed to support her weight…plus she also “harassed” those members…and with the wind effect near the end of her stage, things were just laughable…
Verdict: Kim-Dragon 80 vs Shin-A 85
Vote Result: 45-55

Game Segment
i think the point of the game was to flip your opponents and held ’em flipped until the time run out…IMO, the notable people in this game were Sooyoung, Gahee, and Shindong…Sooyoung flipped one opponent and held two down, while Gahee flipped and held two opponents (which were Seohyun and Jessica)…and Shindong? he got so excited that he ripped his opponent’s prop…

Round 6: 2PM vs Super Junior

2PM was performing two songs, Chris Brown’s “Take You Down” and “Bojangles” by Pitbull…i don’t really take attention to their performance…why? because they tried to do sexy dance, which consisted of MANY hip thrust…since i’m a boy, i also don’t think that this is appealing…it’d be a whole different story if its girl groups did it…

it’s different with Super Junior…they’re doing some kind of dance remix, with samplings mixed together…starting with masks on, their popping and waving was simply wicked…with three of ’em as Teukigayo, they made sure there’s comedy…just see 01:03:29-01:03:54…after that they continued with powerful dance with cool moves in the end of it…
Verdict: 2PM 50 vs Super Junior 90
Vote Result: 20-80

Prize Announcement
well…as i predicted while watching the whole show, Super Junior won the first prize…after the bow to the audience, the guests stormed the prizes display (which was consisted mostly of foods)…and of course, we can also see our beloved Shikshin in the midst of that crowd…

well…there goes my review…feel free to leave any comment about it…just make sure to appreciate my opinion, so that i will value yours…please be noticed that the timing i used is based on the full show…you can download the full show below…

SNSD’s Dancing to What It Is…

just like yesteryear, MBC also made their Star Dance Battle this year…and as a SoNE, of course I waited for this show, since I can see The Nine doing different dance routine…as for this time of Star Dance Battle, only four of the girls was performing, the number is decreasing by one from the last Star Dance Battle (where they performed Sorry Sorry and Smooth Criminal)…the four girls are Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun…I’m actually kinda curious of why wasn’t Yuri added to the dancing bunch, because IMHO, the top four dancer should be Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Yuri, and Yoona…no offense to Seohyun’s fans, because she is also becoming more and more awesome at dancing…

the girls were dancing to What It Is by Sophia Fresh…a good change for the girls, since I think their routine this time is more of the hip-hop genre compared to previous Star Dance Battle performances…with more pops and locks, I think they’re adding a new kind of entry in their dancing dictionary…I do feel that the routine is not as perfect as the previous ones, but maybe that’s because they still haven’t got the knack yet…when they do got the knack, I think they’ll be far more powerful than this…but still for me, their performance is still great…they did lost to After School, but I don’t think it’s something upsetting…with their Gahee (which is superior to Hyoyeon), After School is a group of dancing diva, and for me, After School is the toughest adversary from all Star Dance Battle for SNSD…not counting Super Junior, for the possible gender bias from the voters (which is mostly or all girls)…

trivial fact(s):
1. Sunny and Jessica were present during the show, but they didn’t dance
2. Eunhyuk was spazzing on either Yoona or Seohyun (he FIXED his eyes on one)

Aah…Something Inspiring… (cont’d)

net…crap, i got disconnected by my friend yesterday…so i guess i’ll continue on my blabbering today…or at least that’s what i wanted to do earlier today…

well, the schedule for Comprehensive Test is out today, and apparently i will be doing the test on February 5, 2009 at approximately 09.30 (UTC+7)…WHICH IS WHY I’M SO FRIGGIN PANIC!! (someone in the background: “hey, why are you still blogging while in panic?”)…this is one of the way to relieve my panic and stress…which is now i know, DOESN’T WORK…crap…if any of you are curious how can i get so panicky just because of a test, i’ll kindly tell you that this Comprehensive Test, is, erm, well…it is not “A” test, it is “THE” test…it is like the Jedi Test for Luke Skywalker or Skyhunter Test for Jakesully…we here in Petroleum Engineering ITB are more scared to this test than any other kind of test in our department, even love tests

(that annoying brat in background: “But you still got, like, 3 nights, that should do it!”)…nope, not a chance, we will be asked tons of questions about all stuffs we’ve been studying for 4 years…and when i say “all”, i mean “ALL”, to make it worse, the questions will be random…and when i say “random” (that annoying brat in background: “you mean RANDOM?”)…yes, but you ruined my joke, and it’s not even funny, so i’ll shorten your nick to TABIB…(TABIB: hey, that sounds cool!)…crap, you’re right…aaanyway, fortunately, i only got one more subject to be tested…unfortunately, it is drilling engineering…ah crap, i’ll just back on delving the books…

btw, if you ever curious why i put “Something Inspiring” as title…it’s because i read two blogs of awesomeness yesterday…they’re ChickenStrip (no, not a menu in fast food chain) and ComicTherapist (no, he can’t give your comics any prescription)…thanks for the laughs you brought guys…

now where the heck is my drilling books…
